Commercial Intelligence Analyst
Your mission
As part of the Business Intelligence team, the Commercial Intelligence Analyst will support the day-to-day operations of the commercial intelligence vertical, contributing to sponsorship tracking, digital commercial inventory management, and data analysis to optimize Euroleague Basketball’s commercial efforts.
Role Summary:
The Commercial Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for implementing this supporting function across the organization in an efficient and effective manner through the following:
• Provide operational support to the Business Intelligence team in the preparation of recurring reports, datasets, and analyses, developing foundational expertise across commercial intelligence workflows.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the B2B CRM system, ensuring data accuracy, timely updates, alignment with partnership activities, and integration with the tracking and delivery of commercial inventory and campaigns.
• Collect, validate and consolidate broadcast data from broadcasters and external providers,
ensuring consistency and timely follow-up to support downstream analysis.
• Support the preparation of valuation reports for Clubs and Partners, ensuring consistent analytical support, stakeholder engagement, and responsiveness to commercial and partnership-related needs.
• Support the execution of market analysis and benchmarking activities to identify relevant trends and developments across the sports industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of commercial assets, rights, and inventory across Euroleague Basketball properties and channels, ensuring end-to-end inventory visibility.
• Support the tracking of partner package delivery and performance.
• Track, analyse, and report on digital commercial inventory through specialized tools (including Blinkfire for social media sponsorship tracking), ensuring accurate campaign delivery and performance reporting across owned and sponsored channels.
• Manage and monitor digital commercial inventory, ensuring proper tracking of deliverables and timely escalation of any discrepancies.
• Generate regular commercial and valuation presentations for Partners and Clubs.
• Support other departments with valuation exercises and ROI assessments for specific projects.
• Establish inventory management processes to track delivery, optimise performance, and support consistent value reporting practices.
• Support the identification, analysis, and development of new partnership opportunities.
• Promote effective utilisation of the CRM platform across stakeholders to ensure data integrity and support sales process efficiency.
• Manage day-to-day relationships with selected vendors and service providers supporting the Business Intelligence department.
• Produce regular sports industry benchmark reports to monitor market dynamics and emerging trends.
Your profile
• Previous internship experience or up to 2 years of experience in data analysis, commercial analysis, or related roles within the sports business, media and entertainment, or advertising industries.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Experience using a CRM software is desired.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; any other European language is a plus.
• Excellent business acumen, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge.
• Strong analytical mindset with a methodical and pragmatic approach to work.
• Acute attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot apparent data discrepancies.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Proactive self-starter with a keen interest to progress within the sport business industry.
• Holds EU nationality and/or a valid residency/work permit for Spain.
